Event Description
More than 75% of Hispanic/Latino youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders are failing to access and complete college or advanced training programs.  This impacts their earnings, quality of life and other outcomes. We need input from our Hispanic/Latino community--parents, high school students, adults who have left high school, college students, college grads and those who tried it and it did not work out for them.  Our aim is to learn what barriers are out there, what supports are out there and what we need to do or build to increase the learning and potential of our young adults with ASD.  Join us for a lively discussion and help us to identify barriers and propose solutions to this significant problem.  We will start at 2pm on Sunday, January 13th at Town & County Library, 7606 Paula Dr Ste 120,Tampa, FL 33615. Sponsored by United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Developmental Disabilities and the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, Inc
